Soul Bowl
The original Soul Bowl concept dates back to the 1940s when Dorsey played Booker T. Washington. In 1955, Dorsey closed and Northwestern opened. The rivalry between Northwestern and Booker T. lasted until 1967, when Booker T. became a junior high. That same year, Northwestern and Jackson started their series. In the early years, the game was played on Thanksgiving Day or Eve. Since then, it has turned into Miami-Dade's most intense rivalry.
